I graduated from the Bayly School of Reflexology with a Diploma in Reflexology. I am a member of the British Reflexology Association. Doreen Bayly brought reflexology to Great Britain in the 1960s and founded the Bayly School. The course consisted of 7 modules covering practical reflexology and well as modules on anatomy and physiology plus an exam at the end of the course. Since qualifying, I regularly attend training sessions organised by the British Reflexology Association. Recent workshops have been on Reflextherapy in Spinal Pain and Reflexology and Cancer both conducted by reflexologists with 20+ years experience as medical professionals in the NHS and use reflexology to complement their medical practise.
Before re-training as a reflexologist, I worked in Adult and Further Education for many years, teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) and computing and supporting dyslexic students. I am, therefore, used to working with a wide range of people. I also do some volunteer work as a reflexologist for a Cancer Support Group in North London.
